Claiming Renewable Feed-in Tariffs

If you have installed an approved system via an accredited installer and registered with the Microgeneration Certification Scheme and the Feed-in Tariffs Scheme, you are ready to claim your allowance.

You will need to let your electricity supplier know, they will then check that you are eligible for the renewable feed-in tariff and once everything is in place you should start receiving 'Clean Energy Cashback'.

The renewable Feed-In Tariff scheme guarantees a minimum payment for all of the electricity generated by your accredited system, as well as a separate payment related to the electricity you export to the National Grid. These payments are on top of savings you accrue by using the electricity you have generated. The tariff you receive will last for the life of the tariff and will be adjusted for inflation on an annual basis.

In most instances a second electricity meter is required to log how much electricity you are feeding back into the National Grid.
