How to sell renewable energy

Selling your renewable energy is all handled by your electricity provider. As long as you have installed an approved system via an accredited installer and registered everything you are ready to claim your allowance. All you do is let you electricity supplier know, they will then check that you are eligible for the Feed-in Tariff and once everything is in place you should start receiving Clean Energy Cashback.

You don't have to export excess energy to benefit from the scheme though, as your supplier will pay you a guaranteed amount for the amount of electricity you generate via approved renewable technology. The tariff you receive will last for the life of the tariff and will be adjusted for inflation on an annual basis.

In most instances a second electricity meter is required to log how much electricity you are feeding back into the National Grid.
